Kristina Bentz, Our 2007 Fernando Bujones Recipient & Silver Medalist has joined the Lyon Opera Ballet. A company from Lyon, France that has a long tradition of bringing innovation to ballet. Lyon Opera Ballet is one of the world’s leading contemporary dance companies, with a vast repertoire of post modern works from influential choreographers such as: William Forsythe, Benjamin Millepied, Jirí Kylían, Nils Christe, Nacho Duato, Trisha Brown, & Ralph Lemon. Kristina can briefly be seen here, from their recent performance at the Joyce Theater. Anna Kisselgoff of The New York Times hailed Lyon Opera Ballet as “a company full of surprises,” marked by “impressive individuality [and] versatile dancers.”
Prior to joining the company, Kristina trained at the Julliard School in NYC, graduating in 2014. Congratulations & Much success in your career!
