Alum, Luis Eduardo Gonzalez, now just barely 22 years old, has already had the rare opportunity to work with three well known Ballet Companies. In addition, Luis is a brand ambassador for Capezio, a primary corporate sponsor of the ADC|IBC. Capezio athletes range from former and current Principal Ballet dancers to the hottest names in Dance Television Today.

A native of Colombia, Luis came to Atlanta, Georgia at a young age, where he met Maniya Barredo, former Lead Dancer for Atlanta Ballet, and current Director of Metropolitan Ballet Theatre, whom he credits his early training. Mr. Gonzalez began his professional career with Houston Ballet II, where he had the opportunity to dance works by Stanton Welch among other renowned choreographers, as well as tour both nationally and internationally. In 2012, he joined the Orlando Ballet's Second Company. The following year he joined the Main Company where he danced for three years and performed roles such as the Jester in Swan Lake, Peter in Peter and the Wolf, Ghoul’s trio in Robert Hill's Vampire’s Ball, Franz’s friend in Coppelia and Cavalier in the The Nutcracker.

In 2014, Luis was selected to compete as the only representative of Colombia in the Tenth USA International Ballet Competition, held every 4 years in Jackson, MS. Luis Eduardo Gonzalez joined The Joffrey Ballet Chicago in July 2015 as a Company Member.
